This series captures the raw intensity of life and death beneath the surface, as fish, predators, and whale sharks feed on swirling sardine baitballs along Colombia’s Pacific coast. Witnessing this spectacle in my own country, and being inside the water, surrounded by motion and chaos, was deeply emotional. Each frame reflects not only nature’s power, but my awe and gratitude for experiencing such a wild and spectacular moment in my own country
Colombian biologist, expedition leader, educator and UW photographer. My passion for nature began early and has only deepened with time. Through photography, I’ve found a way to speak for the voiceless, using my camera to raise awareness, educate, and inspire a deeper connection with the natural world. From the ocean’s depths to remote wild places, I aim to tell stories that matter, stories that protect, awaken, and honor life.
