This photo captures the structure “Space Walk” in South Korea. The first image won 1st (abstract) in the IPA, and I’ve expanded it into a full series to convey a deeper narrative. True to the name “Space Walk,” I aimed to express curves, distortion, and dreamlike imagination. I wanted to break away from traditional flat architectural photography and emphasize beauty through intentional lens distortion—reflecting how we truly perceive buildings from human eye level. To highlight the pure elegance and awe of the structure itself, I digitally removed the dozens of steel pillars that support it.
I was in charge of public relations and photography and video shooting for 5 years at the Korea Mint(KOMSCO). Now I have won several photo contests in Korea. My hobby is to take pictures of various beauty of Korea while traveling. From now on, my goal is to win awards at international photo competitions, including the TIPA, and make my name known to the world.
