This project looks at a unique space of faith in a poor county in China - a “church” tended by a middle-aged couple that is more like their daily living room. There are no soaring steeples, ornate stained windows or sacred murals, but rather traces of faith are quietly woven into the fabric of life. The camera records the old people who gather here: it is hard to tell how much devotion they have when they listen to the Bible, but the atmosphere is more like an appointment with old friends once a week on Sundays. For them, this may be the only solace and pastime in their solitary life. Time se
