With its imposing presence and mythical aura, the fighting bull occupies a unique place in the cultural imagination of Portugal and the entire Iberian Peninsula. This set of unpublished photographs is part of a vast photographic project that will result in the publication of two books that aim to capture the image of this extraordinary creature, but also to explore its symbolic and cultural significance. But it is also a tribute to all the people who live in the surrounding world, such as the peasants in the field, and the bullfighters and pitchforks in the arena.
