The making of a water well. This summer has been so dry, we were completely without water. To take a "shower" we went to the lake. The plants and the animals suffered. Then at the end of summer there was water from a well, it was magical!

Margrieta was born under Northern skies, in the Netherlands. During her biology studies with a major in philosophy at Wageningen (the Netherlands) she started with a variety of studies in bronze casting, painting, etching and ceramics. Her work embraces poetry and sculpture, but her main creative outlet is photography. She is living and working in Tuscia, Italy, the ancient volcanic land of the Etruscans where the magical landscape inspires most of her more recent work.
