Draumajökull, meaning the Glacier of Dreams in Icelandic, is a series capturing the mystic beauty of the glacier as its icy arms descend into frigid waters. Shrouded in nascent fog, it evokes a sense of dreamlike wonder, where nature’s power and serenity meet in perfect harmony. Yet, due to global warming, this glacier retreats at a rate of 100 to 300 meters per year. The lagoon grows as icebergs break off and melt, driven by climate change, accelerating the ice melt and calving, and leading to the continual expansion of Jökulsárlón.
