I visited Myanmar in 2019. After COVID-19 pandemic has spread worldwide, a military coup has occurred in Myanmar. It made it difficult to travel there for tourism now. This photo was taken at a homestay after trekking from Inle Lake. Despite their seemingly impoverished lifestyle without electricity, when the door behind the man cooking breakfast with firewood opened and light poured in, I felt a profound sense of richness and mystery. I hope that they are safe and still able to live happily.
