The inspiration for the appearance of this book was studying at the Kiev Photography School on the courses of the wonderful Dimitri Bogachuk. Photography is my old passion. And after the start of the war in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, photography became my moral support, a "place" of strength and hope. The pictures were taken in Italy, on the island of Sardinia.

Olena is a Ukrainian photographer and visual artist based in Italy. Art has been part of her life since childhood. Trained as a lawyer, she considers the Kyiv School of Photography her alma mater and continues her development at Form Photo Academy in Paris. For Olena, photography is a way of living creativity through close observation—finding beauty in textures, shadows, subtle details and unexpected visual connections. She explores black-and-white harmony and the atmosphere of colour, also working with AI, ceramics and drawing.
