All the horses pictured here are yearlings that are raised to become racehorses in the future. The snow makes them look expressive. This is because they (the field blanketed in white, the drifting snow, the falling snow by canter and so on) seem to emphasize their expressions and movements. They do well in environments with temperatures below -10 degrees Celsius. They are still in the growth stage, and it is hoped that they will survive the harsh winter and grow stronger. By spring, it will probably be even stronger.
