In 2021, pumice was generated by the eruption of submarine volcanoes in the Ogasawara Islands. A large amount of pumice floating on the surface of the ocean had a serious impact on Japan's marine ecosystem. I succeeded in photographing a humpback whale parent and child swimming in the pumice stone. I want to express the threat of nature and the precious life that lives there. The location is Japan, Okinawa, off the coast of Naha.
