These photographs were all taken in January 2023 in Hokkaido, Japan. The conditions were perfect for minimalist, otherworldly snowscapes. I loved the way that the sky blended with the snow to heighten the sense of minimalism. Although the temperatures ranged from -10C to -20C I was warmed by the beauty and zen like wonder of the scenery. I shall return to this magical landscape.
