A large dusty “wedge” tornado grinds a path across harvested cotton fields in the “panhandle” region of far north west Texas, USA. This section of the USA is the historic home of tornadoes and storm chasing however data is suggesting that “Tornado Alley” is moving eastwards. This particular tornado formed near the town of Morton and was largely invisible to all but a few storm chasers who dared the “bears cage” , the region direct under the mesocyclone of the parent supercell storm, dust pulled around the mesocyclone acted as a curtain to all outside and hid the beast inside.
