True story of a mother's love for her daughter, told by a grandson, in whose life its elements sound echo like. The end of the WW2. Polish-German borderland. A young German woman falls in love with a Polish guy. They are forced to hide their love and the fact she gets pregnant. After the war, she is imprisoned in the camp for Germans awaiting deportation from Poland to Germany. She gives birth to the author’s mum but because of her poor conditions, she has to give her away. The woman, hoping to be reunited with her daughter, decides to stay in Poland and achieves her goal 13 years later…

Established in 2012, BLOW UP PRESS is a boutique style publishing house focused on contemporary photography, known from such publications as doc! photo magazine (quarterly mook dedicated to contemporary documentary photography) and DEBUTS (yearly publication presenting the most talented emerging photographers). BUP also publishes monographs by emerging as well as already established photographers. This includes two books so far: 9 Gates of No Return by Agata Grzybowska and Death landscapes by Hubert Humka. Three new books will be published till the end of 2018.
