The squid floating in the darkness night that it's juvenile of diamond squid. Mantle length 4 cm. That transparent skin is covered with myriad chromatophores and shine beautifully reflecting light that is whole looks like a jewel. I'm always fascinated to them various changing. Adult of the diamond squids lives in the deep waters of the open ocean, so we are unlikely to encounter it in scuba diving. However, juvenile and larvae live on the shallow water of the open ocean for some time and have the opportunity to encounter them when we go offshore. Location: Anilao Batangas Philippine
