During the Covid-19 lockdown, I cycled to different parts of London to photograph trans and non-binary people outside of their homes. An Unending Sunday morning is a photographic documentation of our unique experiences and feelings of isolation and struggle. Between January and April, I cycled 600km and photographed forty-five people. The title comes from this continuous and peculiar sense of time developed due to the pandemic – where each day of the week feels like a never-ending Sunday morning.

Emil Lombardo is an Argentinian born London based photographer and a Royal College of Art MA Photography graduate. Emil's practice is concerned with body politics, gender and the representation and visibility of dissident identities. Emil's work embodies both documentary and activist notions as he uses the camera as a tool for promoting equality and positive change. He confronts the cisgender and heteronormativity gaze by subverting the fetishized eye of the apparatus. Additionally, he is interested in how concepts of legitimacy, privilege and access apply to the Art world.
