These two nomads at sunset show off the bond they have developed with their mature eagles. The 2018 Golden Eagle Festival was a great cultural experience. Spent several days riding and flying across Mongolia meeting friendly Kazakhs, staying in gers, photographing the mountains and plains as well as the eagle hunters in various competitions. Learned how the eagles are captured, trained and the bond that exists as well as the emotion of releasing them to the wild after years of partnership.
