The Underwater Series has been in the making since 2005. The initial concept was to follow the masters such as Edward Weston, Imogen Cunningham, Robert Mapplethorpe, and many others I studied in school. Approaching the subject in a similar way, but added another element to created my own vision. The subjects were partially submerged in water. The result was not visually drastic. The objects were subtly complimented by the water which gave it a tranquility effect. Contrary to what I had predicted.... there was no distortion between the underwater and uncover section.
