The Ghosts are an emanation of ourselves, they haunt us in these introspection moments created by our day to day life. They appear when we fall deep inside ourselves and they scream to wake us up and escape. This self-portrait series pictures the visible and the invisible, the apparent calm and the silent revolt against an enslaving and crushing reality.

• Biography
  Anne-Claire Vimal du Monteil has been living in Montreal for the past 11 years. She worked in culture and cinema in Paris and then chose to become a high end retoucher and commercial photographer 14 years ago. In 2016, she transitioned to fine art photography and developed her research with different techniques and expressions within the medium.
