As we continue to exterminate Mother Earth, one tree at a time, for our benefit, we fail to realize that we are in fact destroying our own soul. But Mother Nature knows only to love, she constantly sacrifices herself with every last bit she has to offer. Yet, we simply refuse to care while countless teardrops roll down her cheeks in the form of “natural disaster”. But are they really “natural”, or rather, “artificial” catastrophes? At this pace, it will not be very long before Earth is destroyed, making us baseless like the plate in the picture.

• Biography
  I am Farida Alam. Professionally I come from a business background but Photography is my passion. Exploring people and their different cultures is the area of my interest. My inspiration for photography comes from the people and my surroundings. I love to meet people from different communities and experience other cultures. I have completed basic and foundation courses on Photography from “Pathshala South Asian Media Institute" and later on completed my Diploma from Alliance Française de Dhaka. I have participated in workshops conducted by Abir Abdullah, Saiful Huq Omi, and GMB Akash.

  International Photo awards 2018: 02 series got Honorable Mention in different Categories. Moscow international foto award, 2018: 2nd place in one category, 3rd Place in three different categories & six Honorable Mentions. Tokyo International Foto award (TIFA), 2017: 2nd Place in one category & Honorable Mention in two categories. International Photo awards 2017: 01 photograph got Honorable Mention in People-Children category. ND Award Photo Contest, 2017: 1st Place in Photojournalism/ Story category, 3rd place in Portrait category and Honorable Mention04 photographs in different categories. 5th Olympic Photo Circuit, Greece, 2017: Awarded with one FIAP Gold medal and eleven acceptances in 4 photos salon in different categories. Monovision Photography Award, 2017: 05 photographs got Honorable Mention in different single categories and 1 was in the series category. PX3, France, 2017: 01 photographs got Honorable Mention in children category. Moscow International Foto Awards, 2017: 02 photographs got Honorable Mention in people and sports category. International Photo awards 2016: 01 series got Honorable Mention in Deeper Perspective-Deeper Perspective category. ND Award Photo Contest, 2016: 3rd Place for the series “Reflection of dispersed soul; hidden for years” in people/ portrait category. Tokyo International Foto Award (TIFA), 2016: 02 photographs got Honorable Mention in people/portrait and fine art category. 3rd BPS International Photography Competition & Exhibition, Bangladesh, 2016: 5 acceptances in different categories.
