This is a project about stillbirths. Stillbirths are universal, as is the pain associated with them. They can happen unpredictably to anyone, anywhere, causing pain not only to parents, but also to healthcare professionals, families, and anyone around these individuals. The aim of this project is to offer visibility to the issue, and to give a name and face to the various people affected by a stillbirth (parents, healthcare professionals, spiritual advisors). By recording their image and their words, by showing this work to a wide audience, we hope to decrease the stigma and isolation, and increase awareness about this frequently preventable issue.
