Bleeding Light series [dreams] :::>> [asylum] Sometimes marked by confusion and uncertainty, the reaction of the human body under the incidence of excessive light leads to new interpretive stances. The images show an intermediate state, somewhere beyond the world of dreams where the light tries to disintegrate the main character, revealing the most intimate parts of his soul.

Alexandru Crisan (b. Bucharest, Romania 1978) is a visual artist specialized in fine art photography. An architect by formal education, his professional career in photography began in 2008 and since then, he has focused on completing and promoting his eclectic art projects. His research on and within photography grasps a unique surreal vision on immateriality, while accentuating different stages of a hyperrealist understanding of reality. Complementary, he accentuates multiple imaginary versions of different worlds that accept contradictory interpretations.
