A former recycling center is without roof or walls. Its concrete floor is a hodgepodge of varying levels and slopes. After a rain substantial puddles appear. At night, using an ordinary flash on my camera, I shot Katrin Dohse as she leaped over portions of these puddles. The biggest challenge at night is getting the subject into focus. The outcome is worth the effort, however. The black background makes the irregular shapes of pavement look like sculptures when the orientation is manipulated.

Christopher Paul Brown identifies as an alchemist. He also sees himself as a primitive hunter-gatherer rather than a modern urban agrarian.
