Kenya held its Presidential election in August 2017 where incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta's victory was overturned by the country's Supreme Court, paving the way for the repeat election. The repeat poll, which were won by Kenyatta again, was marred with violent protests, ethnic crashes and police crackdown on opposition supporters. Rights groups say at least 66 people died in post-election violence.
