I created this 144-page photographic coffee table book to showcase and celebrate the beauty and joy of a special open water swimming community in bayside Melbourne, Australia. The photographs highlight the ever changing light and beauty of the bay, particularly in the early hours of the morning, and the stories of 35 swimmers showcase the importance of community, connection, care (for self, others and the environment) and gratitude. Many people took up open water swimming during the Melbourne COVID lockdowns, so these stories and photos demonstrate that good can come out of difficult times.
