It's a slightly cold morning, with the white mist wetting the whole town. Drops run down my long hair brush against my cheek and fall into the palm of my hand. If you're gentle, I'll probably sway. Please wrap me in your arms. If you're the wind as you pass by, I want to be the wind right now.

I am a New York–based photographer originally from Nara, Japan. Since 2010, I have pursued photography independently, using the city as a stage to explore the relationship between urban landscapes and natural light. My work balances stillness and movement, shaped by a Japanese sense of aesthetics and an intuitive response to New York’s energy. In portraiture, I avoid excessive direction, focusing on the moment when a subject naturally blends into their surroundings. Through light, shadow, and space, I create images that feel both immediate and timeless. Thank you, Shintaro Ueyama
