Bachmut, Kreminna, Marjinka, Avdijivka... Until recently, these were relatively unknown towns of regional significance. Today, they are well-known from reports on the human tragedy in Ukraine. No one could have imagined the extent of suffering and devastation at the end of February 2022. Now, it has become a part of everyday reality, no longer surprising anyone. However, on the frontlines, human dramas unfold every day. Rockets strike, civilians and soldiers perish. Will it ever end? The end of this nightmare is still nowhere in sight...

Czech journalist and photographer. From 2004 to 2018 she was the editor-in-chief of the magazine about traveling. Since 2018 she has been working as a freelance reporter and photographer focused on war zones. She is the co-author of several documentaries (Tears of the Congo, Latim - Circumcised, Iraqi, Women in the Land of Taliban, Unbroken) and a number of television reports.She is the co-author of nine books about Africa, about war in the Middle East and Nagorno Karabakh. She has been covering the war in Ukraine since the beginning.
