Annukka has been exploring peace of mind from yoga and cold waters of Katumajärvi ("Lake of Regret", Hämeenlinna) for several years. Ice-swimming is one way to relieve stress, get rid of the inner demons and boost the immune system in the darkest period of the year. In the autumn-winter the days are short in the Northern Hemisphere. In the winter, the shortest day is about 6 hours, in Southern Finland. The water temperature is almost the same all the way from the surface to the bottom: about +4 degrees Celsius. Annukka was five minutes in the water and about ten seconds beneath the surface.
