I engage in the practice of photographing dancers due to my prior personal involvement as a dancer. My aim is to capture and convey the profound sense of dynamic energy inherent in the moving human form. This endeavor seeks to depict a sensation akin to defying the constraints of gravity. Through the visual medium, I endeavor to immortalize these dancers, effectively encapsulating a perpetually enduring dance. Since 2020 I have been working as a dance photographer. This series is a compilation of some of my client's commissions.

Hector Palacios's photography comes from his roots in Mexico City and his performance background provides his work with a clear need for narrative and motion. His work has been exhibited at the Galerie Photobastei Zurich, Artnumber23 on Salzburg, and published at the Issue 27 of the Musée Magazine alongside one of his personal heroes Alex Prager. Hector endeavors to constitute a fictional work that speaks more to him than the real world. His use of color is a transformative element that extracts him from the clarity of reality.
