On Halloween night of 29 October 2022, Seoul experienced an horrific event where 159 people died in a human crush. Too many people, predominantly young people, gathered in a narrow alley in the party district of Itaewon, which resulted in a human crush. Party-goers dressed in Halloween wear could not move or breathe. The reasons for and whose to blame regarding this tragic event has still not been resolved. These photos were taken on the night, moments after the initial crush.
