Nirvana was Annette's "A horse of a lifetime." Annette is a horse lover, and they are part of her life since childhood. But Nirvana was different. She was not only Annette's jumping partner but, she was her soulmate. Annette made a blanket out of Nirnava's fur when the mare died to keep her and her memory as close as possible. Photographer Ifat Zohar specializes in pet & human portraiture. Originally from Israel, she has lived and worked in the Netherlands for the past ten years. As a contemporary portrait photographer, Ifat identified a growing need with pet owners, the desire for a different kind of photo with their animals. Ifat's portrait studio work has always been inspired by The Old Masters' love for storytelling, and their use of light and dark to add depth and dimension to their subjects.
