To me as an admirer of façades, Omnizorg in Apeldoorn (NL) is a fascinating complex. The building's destination is a shelter for the homeless, drug addicts and people with psychiatric disorders. In spite of this noble, yet challenging function, the façade expresses a bright and structured playfulness through the colourful window shutters in many different positions in combination with the reflective / glazed surface of the bricks.
I am a Dutch artist that lives and works in Almere, near Amsterdam. In 1990 I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tilburg in photography, painting and drawing. Since the development of digital photography my camera and computer have become important tools for creation. Because of my fascination with patterns, music scores, languages and other types of structures, my work always has been inhabited by geometric shapes, lines and rhythm. My current passion is the abstract beauty of architecture. Through my photographic work I hope to inspire and touch people's souls with visual music.
