Coal mining in Germany is a thing of the past. An essential part in Germany's economical recovery after WW II, the now remaining structures are fading and are only a reminder of a prosperous time. Shifting Time uses the fast moving blur as a metaphor for the fast pace of how society changes and leaves things behind, regardless how well it has been served by them.

Former editorial and commercial photographer with work published in the USA and Europe turned to fine-art work. Past clients include GQ, Men's Health, Golf Digest, Austin Monthly, and Bicycling Magazine. My current focus lies on the built environment and human altered landscape as well as the people living with and in it.
