This is a photo of migrant seagulls flying above the Deep Bay wetland in Hong Kong. Right across the bay lies the cityscape background of Shenzhen, China, where stylishly-designed gigantic structures keep growing higher and higher, in contrast to the humble low-rise buildings already there. The "crane" on one of the rooftops is but one of the many in this skyline, which symbolises how this shore will grow into a super-enormous steel and glass jungle within several years. How can we ensure wildlife sustainability in our fast-growing architectural jungle?
