I took this photograph on July 28, 2021, in the Moravia neighborhood, in the city of Medellín, Colombia. Since April 28, mainly the youngest of the most vulnerable classes are protesting asking for more opportunities and support from the Colombian government even to be able to eat once a day in a situation exacerbated by the pandemic. In this photograph, an injured young man is being transported by a pre-hospital care volunteer outside the Moravia neighborhood to a makeshift medical care point, after having been shot several times in the head with a firearm when he tried to shoot protesters.
