I am a New Yorker and I like looking at strangers on the subway and the streets.I'm also a loner but rarely lonely. During the COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine I miss looking at and seeing people. I miss their gestures, bone structure, eye color and hair texture, the fabric patterns from parts of the world I will never see, the lipstick shades and team logos in the morning subway light or on 6th Avenue. The Space Between Us is an ongoing photographic series of images made during the strange spring of loss, isolation, human drama and resilience from a place of love, amazement and affection.
