We all have a sky, a philosophy, a tree to plant, a splinter to contribute to the bonfire that lights up the world. It is a personal decision about how you decide to take care of that sky. This picture is a self-portrait that was made during the quarantine that suffered in the world caused by the COVID-19 in 2020.

Diana Rubi is a Cuban-American fine art photographer and visual artist captivated by themes of perception, human fragility, and the enigmatic nature of our emotions. As a self-portrait artist, her process is an intimate journey. Diana challenges herself to embody multiple personas, becoming both the creator and the character of her narratives. She utilizes evocative photomanipulation techniques, builds her own props, and enhances her photos with hand-drawn details, crafting surreal yet melancholic worlds.
