Taiwan is situated in the typhoon corridor in the Western Pacific, so each year typhoons move onto our island and bring torrential rains that wash down huge amount of driftwood into the sea. The massive quantity of driftwood brings extensive damage to lots of cities, specially in the south of Taiwan. People have to clean the place : on the one hand, they take good and smelly wood in order to create some artworks and on the over hand, some people would burn the wood they don’t want and so, it is another pollution problem.
