Allegory of Ginevra

The series was created as the quintessence of early renaissance spirit, with their red-haired ecstatic models, romantic background scenery, lily flowers, and many other references to the history of European culture. After the series was ready, it turned out that the result is closest to the work of Giovani Bellini - the painter of the Quattrocento period of the Italian Renaissance. Bellini had his first wife, Ginevra, who died when he was still at the dawn of his creative career. I like the idea that it was she who was his muse in all female images, perhaps even after her death, as a memory.
