Entangled in the obstacles of a dark and arduous life, a procession of humans advances towards the light guided by hope for a better life despite all the difficulties. Five photos merged by digital manipulation create a new metaphorical reality that symbolises the difficult journey of refugees or migrants in search of a brighter life. Inspired since a decade by textures of geological formations and the atmosphere of the seashore, my approach to fine art photography is to create emotional and aesthetic artworks to express universal realities, spiritual concepts and a deep relation with nature.

Canadian painter, film maker and photographer. Studies in History of Art at Montreal University and painting and engraving at the Montreal Fine Arts School. I worked at the National Film Board of Canada for 31 years as an animated film director and documentary film director. I participated in various exhibitions of painting and photos in Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto and Vancouver. My recent work in photography is dedicated to explore abstract compositions issued from natural environments, particularly the banks of the Saint-Lawrence River.
