This series examines how women are depicted in various cultures and society rules. Challenges and endurance that we, as females, have to wade through in life and overcome barriers within culture, religion and status. Born and raised in Yemen, with a Yemeni father and Indian mother, I've experienced many challenges in my life. I moved to the UK with my family to begin a new life and to become accustomed to a new environment while preserving my cultural roots. According to my observations and convictions, women will always bear the responsibility of maintaining a system of oppression.
