These landscapes are a re-creation of places from an estranged homeland. They include hand cut photographs using fingerprint patterns, palm print and eye patterns as well as abstract landscapes where multiple photographs with variable cutouts are layered together imitating landforms. The resulting images speak to the effects between man and nature, as well as the imperfections of memory inducing the viewer to draw on their own experience to complete the work. Finally, by incorporating human biological patterns, the images speak to our individual responsibility for our impressions upon nature.
