It is no secret that I do love elephants, architectural lines and symmetry and that I´m always looking for a combination of three in one photo, which is quite a challenge when animals are part oft he equation. However sometimes an incredible coincidence happens and the result is something as this photograph of these two desert elephant bulls in the Hoanib river bed. Their behaviour with their trunks is spart of their complex social communication. Of course this scene is about ranking behaviour, but in a very peaceful way.
i am not a professional photographer, but photography and journalism is my profession. photo-journalism and traveling is my most favorite field, especially if some african country is involved. the first moment I set foot on African soil a was in love with that continent, the people and the animals. besides that I have an affinity for meditation, clear lines and the beauty of perpective. both personal professions can be found in my photographs, sometimes both combined.
