‘Photo-Synthetic’ is a project that explores notions of creation, and therefore creativity. Set in the context of a longstanding photo-exploration of the interaction between light and liquids I have used these interactions to represent the phases of the evolution of life on this fragile planet. Life in a liquid state. In 'Primordial' the first signs of life are seen in a slimy cold pond. Metamorphosis brings heat and energy with conspicuous changes in form. Enlightenment is full of light and colour whilst Illumination is simple saffron and white - we see clearly when there is less to see.
