A Jr. High School dual meet in Wisconsin in October 2020. The venue was very dark and the two photographers allowed in had to wear masks. I was shooting an older kid's match and saw this girl's face from across the mat on another mat. I was happy the image came out as clean as it did as it was far away for the lighting conditions. The girl on top seemed concerned for the other, yet just wanted to end. I love this age of athletes. They still have some innocents and concern for the feelings of the beaten. But the winners want to be the beater.
