This photo was shot during one early morning in March, as the Nenets were preparing for their migration across the frozen Gulf of Ob in Siberia. The Nenets are a group of indigenous reindeer herder who rely on reindeer for food, transportation, trade and clothing. The malitza worn by the Nenets are sewn together with layers of reindeer skin, and keeps them warm during the harshest of winder conditions which can sometimes dip as low as -50c.
