The Automat series examines one aspect of the state of the female condition. My work depicts female characters whose general atmosphere are borrowed from melancholy. In enclosed spaces, these women seem to have been abandoned to their fate in an infinite solitude where their naked and immobile bodies are relegated to the ranks of sexual objects and dehumanized by the patriarchal society. The postulate of nudity, a climate of sadness, all attributes a feeling of disapproval to find themselves naked in this way. The vagueness and abstraction of the images reflect this internal state of idleness.
