In october 2020 Belgium has the most corona cases of all Europe. The intensive care units at the hospitals are overwhelmed. I could assist the work of the nurses and doctors in the intensive care unit of St Pierre Hospital in Brussels. They had to move patients to another unit which has more beds, as more and more patients need intensive care. The nurses are tired. And they are very afraid of the near future. The head of the nurses says the biggest problem is the lack of nurses. In general many nurses cope with extreme tiredness and burnouts.
