Kyoto Spirits

Busy Kyoto streets are emptied of individuals. Bodies and faces blend together and become a crowd representing the millions who have walked here over the last thousand years. All the while, respite is found in Kyoto’s shrines. For me, these views of Kyoto capture the essence of life as it is today, as well as how it may have been seen through the eyes of spirits past.
