Urban Detuning

I always found it curious that the sidewalks, the covers of urban infrastructure as a result of human intervention, were not often put in place with due care so that patterns have maintained. It's like we find in the sidewalk pieces of a puzzle waiting to be fitted in place. This series was made in the center of Porto, photographing limestone and basalt sidewalks.
