All these photographs except one, the one of the theater, were taken in former tuberculosis hospitals. Nowadays some of them are transformed into artists´ studios or just abandoned. One can feel the abscence,the many lives recovering, the peace and the magic of the collapse of time. This historical interiors of Berlin have seen two world wars, moreover, have been used as a shelter by american, nazis and soviet soldiers. You are present and feel the past. Presence and absense can be portrayed at the same time.
